Research

Autonomous driving is an extremely diversified topic which brings various tasks to be researched and solved. My doctoral thesis is carried out at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development in Sindelfingen (Germany) which is embedded in a BMWi (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) collaboration project. The subject is: infrastructure based dynamic route information for autonomous cars. One goal is to derive conditions and criteria for the route quality regarding autonomous driving. Another goal is to interact with the vehicle by knowing which routes are not appropriate for autonomous driving and giving recommendations how to drive on. This shall improve the car flow and traffic. Within the scope of this doctoral thesis, algorithms, tools and software will be developed to investigate and simulate traffic dependent situations.
Previously, I studied Mathematics (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) at the University of Tübingen with specialization in numerical mathematics. I worked at Mercedes in Böblingen (Germany) and Sunnyvale (California) for 2 years, both in the autonomous driving department.
